Deep Ecology Weekend with Claire Carré 30th May- 1st June 2008 English and French

A seven day insight meditation retreat with Bhante Sujiva 6th - 13th June 2008 English and French The weeklong course on insight meditation is based on the way as taught in the Burmese Satipatthana Vipassana method. It involves moment-to-moment awareness on the mind-body processes as they arise and pass away, finally leading to the liberating insight of the 3 universal characteristics. Waking up is at 5 am and continues with alternate hourly sitting and walking sessions. Regular interviews will be given to check up on one's progress and technique. An hourly session on loving-kindness meditation is included at the end of each day. The course is suitable for both beginners and veterans. Happiness and How it Happens A 7-day silent retreat with Suryacitta 25th June - 2nd July 2008 English We all want to be happy, so why then does happiness seem so elusive? It is because we are caught up with our agitated thinking. We believe the image we have of our selves in our own minds. Trying to fulfil this image leaves us feeling discontented and dissatisfied with our self and our life. There will be silence,
meditation, short talks, Question & answer sessions and meditation

Full Permaculture Design Course with Steve Read . Wednesday the 13th - Saturday the 23rd August 2008 A ten day, residential, certified Permaculture Design Course led by Steve Read. The course will cover the International Permaculture Institute Syllabus, including practical work projects around the center. This course will also combine with certain elements of a meditation retreat having morning sittings and silent periods. There will also be the opportunity to walk in the beautiful surroundings of the Cévennes National Park and swim in the Ceze river. More information about the course and about Steve Read. We have a cetain number of concessionary places available on most of our courses / retreats. These only apply for people who are either on unemployment benefits or in full time education. Please state clearly on your booking form when applying for the course if you want to apply for the concessionary rate. I'm afraid we will not be able to accept you as concessionary on arrival if you have not done this beforehand.
